Mia N's Charity Review: Alzheimer's Association
Alzheimer’s Association provides Advocacy and Patient and Family Services and Public Education and Awareness. They give Public Education and Awareness $84,221,453 which is 39.3% of Program Expenses. They give Advocacy and Patient & Family Services $56,376,573 which is 26.3% of Program Expenses. One flaw they have is that they do not have Donor Privacy Policy, which means this charity either does not have a written donor privacy policy in place to protect their contributors' personal information, or the existing policy does not meet their criteria. Much of their finances go to Contributions, Gifts, Grants, and Programs. Another flaw would be that their CEO, Harry Johns, gets $775,351 from Contributions, 0.27% of Expenses, and $37,475 Compensation from Affiliates, Which is not very much compared to other Associations. I recommend this Association because it got a 88.99 out of a hundred, and a 3 out of 4 star rating overall out of Financial(84.96) and Accountability and Transparency(96.00).

Maria K's Charity Review: Alzheimer’s Family Service Center (AFSC)
A good organization to donate to for the fundraising for Alzheimer’s Disease would be Alzheimer’s Family Service Center. Alzheimer’s Family Service Center (AFSC) was founded in 1980 and has, since then, provided consistent care and support for families and individual experiencing different stages of Alzheimer’s and other similar dementia. They offer therapeutic services, counselling, health and care coordination, social experiences for patients and caregiver support. AFSC's mission is to provide support and care to families challenged by Alzheimer's disease through individual needs. The organization is affiliated with Hoag Neurosciences Institute and works closely with the Orange County Vital Brain Aging Program launched by Hoag to help expand and spread knowledge about Alzheimer’s Disease and how important early detection and treatment is. AFSC’s overall rating is at a 94.65%, which means they are good with finances and accountability. These great numbers give the organization an almost perfect score of just under 4/4 stars. The charity spends a good 86.3% of its revenue on the program itself, 6.3% for administrative purposes and 7.4% on funding purposes. The chief executive officer’s compensation is $149,603, which is 3.68% of the charity’s expenses. This is a number that could definately be reduced to a more reasonable number and the money could be put to useful and effective purposes. Another flaw that can be fixed would be the amount of money that the charity spends on fundraising events, $132,084. Other than these minor flaws, the Alzheimer’s Family Service Center would be an excellent place for an individual to donate their money. Their positive numbers and good ratings make AFSC a trusted charity.

Cindy A's Charity Review: Cure Alzheimer's Fund
Cure Alzheimer's Fund is an excellent organization to donate to. It is a non profit organization that was founded back in 2004. The money this organization raises goes towards research, and that research is conducted to find a possible cure for Alzheimer's Disease. 87.9% of the organizations money goes into actual programs and services. Considering all the other expenses this organization has; this is a fantastic number. All of the programs funding comes from contributions, gifts, and grants. This organization depends on people to get its money. It doesn't depend on government grants or membership fees. The organization spends 5.5% of its money on administrative expenses, so the organization doesn't spend much money on paying people to help raise money. In an organization volunteering is essential to the raising of money without loosing money. While this number could be lower this organization does great in focusing on spending most of its money on actual researching. This organization has a 4 out of 4 stars rating, 100% and 100% transparency. The ratings are phenomenal, and the organization is honest about its spending. This would be an excellent organization to donate to because it is efficient in providing funds for research. This organization would not waste your money, and would instead put in into finding a cure for Alzheimer's.
